Yarn can be very expensive...either because you are purchasing gorgeous, handspun yarn or because you are after cashmere or baby alpaca wool or some other luxurious fiber content or simply because you NEED copious quantities of yarn. At the moment, I fall into the latter category. I find myself with a two skein a day habit...I am currently into cotton yarn...thank goodness for my budget. But I find myself cruising the Internet or the aisles of the SuperMegaMart looking for my next "Yarn Fix" at least three times a week...That is called ADDICTION!
Fellow crafters understand the need for "THE STASH" but explaining why I have enough yarn to open my own shop to my (self-described)non-crafty friends is not always easy. "Wait, did you say you are building a studio onto your home to house your craft supplies?" YUP. That is the MAGNITUDE of STASH we are talking about... Of course I have enough supplies for EACH and EVERY type of craft or art I do. Yes, I could have a bead and jewelry store, a sewing store, a yarn store...not to mention a mosaic store to house my 100 bowling ball project (I will have to explain this one later. I know.) I simply LOVE art supplies. I HAVE to have space to keep these things and my poor delusion husband is laboring under the impression that building my own home studio will be a way to CONTAIN my stash...and free up both of out dining tables...for say eating meals...I am thinking that he is being really optimistic!
